Cyberpunk always gets a beat on this show. This time the beat isn't on a screen at all.
## The game Cyberpunk Legends: Into The Night, from Night Crew Games, is out. It's a story-driven co-op card game set in Night City in 2012, near the start of the Cyberpunk timeline, well before V ever picked up a gun. One to four players, a traditional narrative campaign, plus a roguelike deckbuilding mode for the nights you just want to run it back.
## Built to actually play The pitch is that you can learn it in about five minutes and take it anywhere. It keeps the look and feel of 2077 while pulling the IP back to its tabletop roots, where Cyberpunk started as a pen-and-paper RPG in the first place. Fan-favorite characters show up. The whole thing was funded on Kickstarter before it went wide.
## Why the timeline matters Setting it in 2012 is a smart move. It gives you a Night City that's still becoming the place you know, which means fresh stories instead of retreading the game's plot. For anyone who wore out 2077 waiting on the sequel, this is a different door into the same world.
## The IP keeps eating Comics, an anime sequel in the works, merch, and now a boardroom-table card game. CD Projekt turned one launch that stumbled into a universe people keep buying into. Night City doesn't need a controller to pull you back anymore.
