The biggest gaming show of the European summer is coming into focus, and the early signs point to a record-setting edition in Cologne.
Save the Date
Gamescom 2026 runs August 26-30 at Koelnmesse, with Opening Night Live kicking things off Tuesday, August 25. Geoff Keighley hosts once again, joined by Eefje "sjokz" Depoortere. In-person ONL tickets are already sold out; the show streams free worldwide on YouTube, Twitch and Steam.

First Games Confirmed
Two titles are already on the ONL bill: Metro 2039 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Songs of the Past, both currently expected for 2027. New content for The Witcher 3 more than a decade after launch is the kind of headline that tends to steal a showcase. Konami has also confirmed its presence, with Silent Hill Townfall and Castlevania: Belmont's Curse expected on its slate.
Who's In the Building
For the first time in the event's history, all available exhibition space is booked. Confirmed exhibitors include Nintendo, Xbox, Ubisoft, CD Projekt Red, Capcom, Krafton, Bandai Namco and Konami, with the awesome indies showcase now co-produced with IGN and Games Done Quick coming to Europe for the first time. Expect the ONL lineup to keep filling out in the weeks ahead.
